The pope is back in the bedroom, banning gay priests and describing homosexual acts as grave sins. Sexual orientation shouldn’t matter for those entering the priesthood since they are supposed to be celibate anyway. The problem lies in the celibacy. Why should the church try to deny what is a naturally occurring union between a man and woman? To be close to god by going against (faith would argue) his design? Not a great idea if you ask me. Happens in many religions though. Is it a measure of sacrifice to give up sex for piety?
I have posted some new photos today. Go here to see some pics of my apartment, Park Slope, Brooklyn and random shots of me & Cecilia.
Barenaked ladies are releasing a special collection of music, video and other content on Nov 22. Not on a CD, or DVD, hoewever, but on a USB Flash Stick!
Cool!
Winter is here, I think. Today was frickin’ cold. It started yesterday.. When I left the house at 8 o clock it was 68 degrees. When I left the office to come home it was in the 40s and pouring rain. By the time I got home it was cold. Real cold. I spent all of last winter in warmer climes and I really liked being able to wear sandals and short sleeves all year. Warm weather makes me happy. I think that’s true of the population in general. In fact, I would wager that there is a linear relationship between average annual temperature and happiness. Any thoughts on this?
Vespa USA is taking full advantage of the rise in gas prices and promoting no payments for 1 year on new Vespas. I will get a scooter one of these days. They really are quite practical. I would not buy a new one, however - I want a beater than I can leave chained to the lightpole and wont miss too much if it gets knocked over or stolen.
